Practical Ways to Help
In compliance with New Jersey's mandates, we have postponed our programs until further notice. The pandemic has changed everything for our children and their families. Many parents have lost their jobs, food is often scarce and even school has not been available to some who do not have computers or internet access. As you can imagine, it is very difficult for children to be isolated and we know summer will be especially hard so we hope to brighten their days with different games and crafts.
If you can find it in your heart to help us gather some of the following items to brighten their days, it would be a blessing. If you are not able at this time to give, please know that your gift of prayer is equally important.
1. Indoor games -- board games, card games, puzzles for all ages of children
2. Outdoor games -- wiffle ball games, bocci ball, badminton, corn hole, sidewalk chalk, jumping ropes, soccer balls, bubbles, water shooters
3. Hoses and sprinklers
4. Art Supplies -- crayons, markers, pencils, colored pencils, scissors, tape, glue sticks, stickers, construction paper, pads of drawing paper, clay
5. Coloring books for kids and adult coloring books (with colored pencils) for our older kids
6. Journals
7. Items for gardening at their homes
8. Nonperishable food snacks
10. Activity Books
11. A letter or card of encouragement.
12. An Amazon gift card for the older kids so they can purchase their book of choice.
Anything that the children in your life would like, our children would like as well! You might want to get together with others to put together a bag of outdoor games or a bag of art supplies. Your love is a gift.
